Cars and trucks account for over half of the air pollution in Spokane County. By reducing the amount of vehicle miles traveled, as well as idling time of the vehicles, tailpipe emissions can be dramatically reduced.
Idling Reduction - Idling = Zero Miles Per Gallon. Businesses throughout the state are  helping keep Washington's air clean by making it their business to be idle free. Make it a workplace policy to not idle. Here's how:

Combine Errands - Whether employees are running workplace errands, or personal errands, encourage them to make a list and combine errands into efficient trips. This saves time, and wear and tear on the vehicle.
