The boundaries of the smoke control zone are:
- City of Spokane
- North to Owens Road
- Spokane Valley to Idaho border
- South to Gibbs Road
- West to Hayford Road
If you live near the boundary, please call us and we can verify if you are in or out of the area (509-477-4727). The Smoke Control Zone is the area in which air quality burn restrictions are first issued. If deemed necessary, based on pollution levels and weather patterns, burn restrictions can be extended countywide.
